Overall Purpose of the Job

Content Producer, HeyKaki (Contract till 31 Mar 2028)

The SPH Chinese Media Group is seeking a highly motivated Content Producer to join its social media brand HeyKaki.

Key Responsibilities

●    Conceptualise and create creative Chinese social media content for Gen Zs and young adults, these include short-form and long-form videos, social media posts and memes.
●    Stay up to date with latest social media trends, current affairs, and trending topics among young people in Singapore.
●    Strong storytelling and research skills, with the ability to turn ideas and trending topics into engaging content that resonates with young audiences.
●    Comfortable speaking Chinese on screen, and willing to try hosting, new trends, experiences, attractions and activities etc for content.
●    Work closely with fellow producers, influencers, videographers and video editors to ideate, plan, film and edit videos.
●    Basic editing of short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok.

Required Qualifications

●    Diploma/Degree in relevant disciplines; at least 1 year of relevant working experience (please include your portfolio if available).
●    Effectively bilingual (English & Chinese). Able to converse fluently in Chinese as this role supports a Chinese publication. 
●    Fun-loving person, highly creative with a sense of humour. 
●    Keen interest in trending topics, youth culture, Asian Entertainment, and creating entertaining and informative Chinese content for young adults. 
●    Adept at using various social media platforms and aware of the best practices to optimise content performance.
●    Organised and able to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines.
●    Basic knowledge in video editing (eg: Capcut) and video production would be advantageous.
●    Familiarity with local content creators, influencers and the Singapore social media scene, as well as experience in speaking or hosting in front of the camera is a bonus.
